Product Photography | Apparel Photography in Studio
To the average consumer, product photography often looks fairly straightforward and simple. As a Denver product photographer, those products that appear to be simple, can often be the most challenging to photograph.
Products large and small photographed to showcase the finer points. Using a controlled studio environment items can be photographed to highlight the finest details, add color and reduce any glare from a glass or shiny surface. Denver product photographer Brian Walski works tirelessly to guarantee satisfaction. Clients can view images of the photographic process by viewing the shoot with a dedicated online gallery throughout the shoot. Images can then be fine-tuned to the customer’s specifications.
Take for example a recent product photography shoot I completed for an online specialty apparel company. FLOAT (For Love Of All Things) Apparel (www.FLOATapparel.org) is a Denver owned and operated maker of specialty recycled clothing. The shoot was to photograph a group photo of their t-shirts, tops, sweatshirts and hats.
For Love Of All Things, or FLOAT, is a new breed of company promoting socially, environmentally and globally conscious consumerism. We create awareness & funding for the world’s best non-profits by conducting limited edition apparel campaigns and contributing $8 from every sale to the current weeks cause.
Every week FLOAT partners with a new charity. We create unique designs that represent the charity’s cause and for every purchase made at www.floatapparel.com during that week, FLOAT donates $8 to the current weeks charity.
FLOAT’s products included hats, t-shirts, and sweatshirts for guys, girls and children. The professional product photography required shooting the hats and shirts individually and in groups against a solid white background. Using three strobes I was able to highlight the printing on the clothing with minimal post-production in Photoshop.
An attention to the finest details and the ability to fine-tune a product shoot during the course of the shoot is the skill of a professional product photographer.
