Celeste and Marc pose for pictures at the Wellshire

Celeste and Marc chose the Church of the Risen Christ in Denver to celebrate  their marriage ceremony.  The church was designed from a picture of a church in France, the architect designed the Church of the Risen Christ as the first contemporary church building in the Denver Archdiocese.

As the church was being decorated with flowers, Celeste was getting ready with the help of her bridesmaids in the brides room.  Marc and his groomsmen were already dressed in their brown formals with light yellow shirts.

Celestes bouquet was a gorgeous combination, from florist Elizabeth Nielsen at Floral Creations and Gifts, of pink roses and purple irises while her bridesmaids bouquets were adorned with red roses.  Marc and his groomsmen each were pinned with single peacock feather boutonniere.

The wedding ceremony mass was a celebration of Celeste and Marcs love for each other. The ceremony was a traditional Catholic Mass with readings from family members, Communion and a special prayer to the Blessed Virgin Mary.  The musical selections were highlighted with a classical guitar accompaniment from Celestes father.

After the mass, the couple posed for family and group formal pictures at the altar.   Then Celeste and Marcs family, friends and wedding party travelled to the Wellshire Inn in Denver for the wedding reception.

Since 1926, couples have been celebrating their weddings at the beautiful Wellshire Inn.  With spectacular views of the Rocky Mountains, Downtown Denver and the stately golf course, the Wellshire Inn is a great setting for a summer wedding.

When everyone arrived we headed out to the golf course for pictures of Celeste and Marc and their wedding party.  Below are some wedding portraits of Celeste and Marc on the bridge and amongst the mature oak trees.

From a professional wedding photographers point of view, the Wellshire Inns pavilion is like a giant softbox.  Even in bright sunlight, the use of one wireless remote strobe pointed into the billowing white ceiling created a beautiful natural looking soft light in a fairly large area.

The couple was introduced to their first dance by A New Song DJ Hugh Swanke. After dinner there were toasts by the brides sister and maid of honor along with the best man.

Then it was on to cut the spectacular wedding cake and move to the dance floor for an evening of dancing to music for all generations.

As a Denver Wedding Photographer its was a pleasure to photograph Celeste and Marcs church wedding and party at the Wellshire Inn.
