How To Get The Best Wedding Photography Money Can Buy?

It doesn’t matter whether or not a wedding has 20 guests or 500.  It may be held at the Brown Palace or in a remote mountain meadow.  Regardless of what type of wedding you have, it goes without saying that a wedding photographer is an absolute necessity.  Pictures retell the story of the day over and over again for many years to come.  Not only should the wedding photos document the vows at the ceremony and party at the reception, but pictures should also portray emotions expressed throughout the day.  The wedding photographer has a truly a unique presence at the wedding.

Recognize the value of high-quality wedding pictures that you will cherish for many years to come.  Then consider not having any or just a handful?

That is why it is so important to find a wedding photographer with a skilled eye someone that has patience and technical skills to capture those most memorable moments that will be cherished for many years.

Since beginning to photograph wedding in 2005, I realize that there is a large quantity of pictures that must be taken throughout the day.  Many might fall into the standard wedding photography category the bridal party walking down the aisle, family formal portraits, the first dance and so on.  However, in every large wedding image collection, I try my best to ensure that there is a smaller collection that stands out above all others.

My job is to capture as many of the wedding moments throughout the day that a whirlwind of excitement and emotion.  Capturing these important images can be no small feat.  I can tell you that capturing wedding action pictures (Especially in a dimly lit hotel ballroom) is not that easy.  Sure, cameras and digital cameras have come a long way,  (The first professional digital cameras I used in the 90s are now the low-end point-and-shoot models) but it is the skills of the photographer that make the difficult to get image a reality.

Not all wedding photographers are created equally.  There is a difference between those at the top of their game and those who are still experimenting with their photography.  There are many things to consider when choosing the right wedding photographer.

Knowing this, you should be prepared to invest time in finding the best photographer possible.  It is then that their personality shines through. When looking through the photographer’s portfolio, look for those images that stand out, the one’s that grab your attention, and transport you into the picture. If you can flip from one image to the next without lingering, then you may want to find yourself another photographer

Once a couple chose the right photographer, they need to sit back and trust in their skills.  My responsibility to the bride and groom is to be honest, straight forward and fulfill all their requests, not create the scenes but capture and relate the expressions, moments and details of the day.  In the end, what is important is to be happy with your pictures today, tomorrow, and when your grandchildren find your wedding album.
