Pam and John are in love and they love horses.  Horses are a part of their relationship and there was no better site for their wedding than the Wild West Ranch in Arvada, Colorado.

The Wild West Ranch boasts a variety of services for the novice to expert horsemen and women.  For the general public, there are guided trail rides, pony rides and hayride parties.  All rides are on a beautiful trail with experienced guides to insure an exciting equine experience.

For Pam and John’s wedding, the ranch was transformed with a bandstand for live music, a playground for the children and the main horse corral into the ceremony site

Pam and her bridesmaids prepared for the big day at her house.  Each of her bridesmaids wore silk embroidered western style tops with custom cowgirl hats.  John and his groomsmen prepped at the Ranch.

The wedding ceremony was in the early evening just as the sun was about to dip below the foothills.  A trailer was decorated with a wedding arch and red roses.  With family and guests seated it was time for the wedding ceremony procession to begin.  The wedding party followed by Pams granddaughter riding in on a pony.

John, in his western cut formal topped with a black cowboy hat, and Pam in her wedding dress mounted their rides for the wedding procession and their grand entrance to highlight the wedding procession.

The wedding ceremony was heartfelt and genuine with Pam and John completely in their element surrounded by their family and best friends.  The surrounding scenery making a great setting for a beautiful Colorado wedding photography.

The sunset was lovely that afternoon and it was the perfect time and light for wedding portraits of Pam and John in the corral with a soft glow of the sun setting over the mountains.  I used a battery powered single Einstein 460 watt wireless strobe to light the portraits against the setting sun.  This gives the portraits a professional wedding photography look.

Below are some wedding photographs that I took of Pam and John and the wedding party.

Then it was time for Pam and John to enter their wedding reception.  As the skies turned to dark blue, it was time to enjoy the beer and barbecue.  There was a toast from Pam’s children.  Pam and John then sliced their cowboy and girl topped wedding cake.  It was a beautiful evening for dancing and having a good time.  It was the perfect finish to a perfect outdoor Colorado wedding western style.
